Congratulations to my brave Storm. The kindergarten classes put on a musical performance this evening, and Storm had a single speaking line. He spoke clearly and audibly, and with such enthusiasm that several audience members cheered when he spoke.
And he looked like he had a rocket ready to launch in his shoes, he was stimming so much. But the Captain and I were probably the only people to notice it, because the kids sang with hand motions anyway.
I cried tears of joy throughout the performance because I know he would not have managed to hold it together like this even six months ago. His teachers positioned him in the center of the front row, on the floor instead of the risers, so he had plenty of wiggle room without being in danger of accidentally hitting another student.
Brava, Storm, Brava!
